What does CRM look like?
A Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) session is designed to create a safe and supportive space for you to explore your emotions and experiences. Here’s what you can typically expect during a session:
Warm Welcome: We’ll begin by checking in on how you’re feeling and discussing any topics or concerns you want to focus on during our time together.
Identify and Utilize Resources: CRM emphasizes the importance of your inner strengths and resources. We will use previously taught resources, such as breathing and your sacred place, to resource your nervous system. We then build a grid in your body using 7 spots that feel solid, centered, present, and grounded to get you into your body and further resource your nervous system.
Exploring Challenges: After grounding ourselves in these positive resources, we’ll gently explore any distressing thoughts, feelings, or memories that are bothering you. The aim is to understand what’s been troubling you and how it affects your life.
Processing: Using specific techniques, we’ll work together to process these challenges. This involves visualizations, focusing on sensations in your body, or guiding you through emotional experiences. The idea is to help you release the emotional charge associated with difficult memories, making them less overwhelming.
Integration: We’ll finish the session by noticing and integrating what you’ve experienced. This includes discussing insights you’ve gained and reinforcing your connection to the resources we identified at the beginning. This helps ensure you leave the session feeling grounded and supported.
Closing: Finally, we’ll take a moment to reflect on the session and set intentions for any follow-up work. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions or share any lingering thoughts.
Overall, a CRM session is a collaborative and nurturing experience focused on healing and empowerment, helping you navigate your emotions in a compassionate way.
