Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • No. I am an out-of-network provider. I will provide a superbill for those who have out-of-network benefits to help make therapy more affordable.

  • A superbill is a detailed form that healthcare providers use to document services provided to a patient. It contains information such as patient details, billing codes, and fees. Patients can use superbills to file for reimbursement from their health insurance if they paid for services out of pocket.

Example: Your insurance policy has out-of-network benefits (usually a PPO) and reimburses 80%. You pay $150 for the therapy session. You submit the superbill to your insurance and they will reimburse you the 80% of the $150 you paid which would be $120. Therefore, each session essentially costs you $30. If your insurance reimburses 50%, you'd be reimbursed $75.

  • You can check your out-of-network benefits by calling your member service number on the back of your insurance card or sign into your client portal on your insurance website to verify your insurance coverage.

    • When seeing a therapist in-network, insurance companies can limit the number of sessions you receive each year

    • Limiting yourself to in-network providers limits you to finding the right therapist for you. In-network therapists are often full and may not have availability for weeks or months. Going out-of-network can open up more options for you.

    • If your insurance changes, you won’t have to change therapists as you’re already using an out-of-network therapist. Meaning you won’t have to start over, rebuild trust, or get comfortable with someone new as long as your new insurance policy provides out-of-network benefits (PPO instead of HMO).

  • I accept debit, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover), and HSA.

  • Yes. Due to my limited availability and my goal to be available to clients in need, I require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. There is a 50% charge on cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session.
